The assessment of vendors should include assessment of their technical capabilities, qualifications, training, resources, facilities, infrastructure, financials, location and quality management practices. There should be robust documentation to show why vendors have been selected and evidence to support the decision. Depending on the vendor and activities to be outsourced, this might take the form of a vendor qualification document or may involve a full vendor audit.  DArcy Compliance Consulting has conducted vendor qualifications for a number of client vendors, where full vendor audit was not deemed necessary.
